The brand has teamed up with auction house Christie's to launch a website, which lets you see if those old family Gucci hand me downs and collectables are actually worth something. The service, will also inform the collectors whether their item would be of interest to either Gucci or Christie's from an historical perspective and will assure prospective buyers of its authenticity. Gucci president and ceo Patrizio di Marco, told Vogue: 'This new service will provide a 'trusted' venue for transactions of vintage Gucci items thereby avoiding recourse to 'uncontrolled' auction sites.'"
