During the 20th century, international collectors poured wealth into Hong Kong and China to buy pieces. But in the last 10 years, that flow has reversed, and newly rich mainland Chinese are seeking out their cultural patrimony. With auction prices in Asia continuing to shatter world records, the chances of another record-breaking sale at Christie's spring auction in Hong Kong this weekend are high.
