Azerbaijan Business Center - EU committed to protect Azerbaijan mugham art

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Baku hosts conference "Protection of creativity: 20-year experience of Azerbaijan and the latest digital challenges".

Roland Kobia, head of the European Union delegation in Azerbaijan, says that twinning EU project beginning for Azerbaijan in the field of copyright is of great importance for the protection of cultural heritage, in particular mugham, artistic and literary works of art, and to combat piracy.

The project is being implemented by relevant agencies of Greece, Spain and Germany.

In this regard Greek ambassador Yannis Metahas emphasized that this was Greece’s first such project in Azerbaijan.

"We will be glad to share our copyright protection experience with Azerbaijan. Copyright is a specific field that serves for protection of cultural heritage. We hope that this cooperation will be successful," the diplomat said.
