Standard Hotel ice skating rink

It's ice skating season in New York. All of the NYC ice skating rinks are open for business.

As of today, that includes the Standard Hotel Ice Rink, which brings ice skating -- and après-skate crepes and spiked hot chocolate -- to the Meatpacking District.

The Standard Ice Rink, which debuted in 2010, is located on the hotel's front plaza, with views of the High Line from the 3,000-square-foot skating surface. Admission is $12 and skate rental is $3.

If you love to skate, but hate the claustrophobic sightseeing crowds at Rockefeller Center, the Standard may be a great alternative this season.
