Titanic Memorial Cruise on Azamara set sor April 10, 2012

The Titanic was the largest cruise ship of its day, and perhaps the most famous ocean liner in history. To commemorate the 100 anniversary of The Titanic, Miles Morgan Travel, a UK based agency, has chartered Azamara Journey for a Titanic Memorial Cruise. The memorial cruise will depart from New York City on April 10, 2012 and will sail to Halifax for a memorial service to be held at the exact time and spot where the iconic ship sank 100 years ago.

Special guest lecturers for this sailing include Capt. Bill Wright, the Captain of the current World’s Largest Cruise Ship, Allure of the Seas and Bill Miller, “Mr. Ocean Liner” and Ken Marschall, world-renowned Titanic artist. Guests sailing on this cruise will be invited to participate in the Titanic expedition to the wreck site, and be part of a special 100th Anniversary Memorial services. Guests will also have the opportunity to visit three cemeteries in Halifax where victims of the disaster are buried. For those who wish to, there will be an opportunity to dress in period costumes.
