Invitation to Consign: 19th Century European Art | Christie's

19th Century European Art continues to be in high demand. Our January 2011 sale achieved over $12,500,000 with an average lot value of $170,000 and a sell-through rate of 95% by value. We have achieved record and exceptional prices for works by artists as varied as William-Adolphe Bouguereau, Alfred Stevens, Giovanni Boldini and Jean Léon Gérôme.

In April 2012 we will hold a stand-alone sale of 19th Century European Art. We are currently seeking consignments that exemplify the great diversity of our field including Victorian, Realism, Barbizon, Maritime and French Academic art.
