Brunei Airlines shifts to Amadeus | The Manila Bulletin Newspaper Online

MANILA, Philippines — Amadeus, a leading transaction processor and provider of advanced technology solutions for the global travel and tourism industry, announced that it will be providing Royal Brunei Airlines with its Altea Customer Management Solution and e-Retail Internet booking engine.

The national carrier of Brunei is expecting the Amadeus Altea suite to advance its processes in its global reservations, inventory management and airport departure control operations.

Amadeus Asia Pacific Airline Group vice president John Chapman said they are delighted to partner with Royal Brunei Airlines.

“Our solutions will ensure that Royal Brunei passengers enjoy a seamless travel experience with faster check-in processes, enhanced booking capabilities and greater levels of automation within the airline,” Chapman said.

Royal Brunei is also starting to implement the Amadeus e-Retail Internet booking engine and Amadeus e-Merchandise low fare calendar shopping solution to power its online sales through its website.

There are currently 115 airlines worldwide using the Amadeus Altea suite. During the first nine months of the year, it has processed 327.50 million passengers.

Meanwhile, Taiwan’s Eva Airways has renewed its distribution agreement that allows Amadeus travel agents worldwide access to the carrier’s fares, schedules and ticketing.

Eva Air committed to make the same fares, schedules, and inventory available through the Amadeus platform.

In the Asia Pacific region, Amadeus has operations in Australia-New Zealand, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
