– LES Site Picked for Guggenheim Lab: An empty lot at 33 East First Street looks to be the location for the first ever BMW Guggenheim Lab, a program that installs temporary-structure outposts of the museum (designed by top architecture firms) around the globe. The East Village locale will host a two-story building designed by Tokyo-based Atelier Bow-Wow. If Community Board 3 approves the site, that is. [NYT]
